LINQ was featured on NTUC This Week magazine and NTUC U Portal.

Ms. Avelyn Ng reports: "With the technology expertise of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), prototyping expertise of Watson EP and funding from SPRING Singapore, Cyclect was able to use its latching mechanism and platooning software to create the LINQ automated wheelchair system."

Cyclect's ART department (ART) created LINQ for logistics staff to better handle heavy items using robotics. LINQ was successfully adapted for prototype wheelchairs used in airports. ART is honoured to be featured for LINQ and shall continue to turn imaginations into possibilities.

LINQ the future



Cyclect debuts LINQ convoy robots at TechnIC@SATS event.

LINQ, an acronym of “Link and Queue”, was adapted for SATS to allow wheelchairs to communicate and move as one. LINQ autonomously transports people and logistics within the airport with minimal human intervention. SATS is testing LINQ for passengers with limited mobility and to improve staff productivity. It can be regarded as an intersection of intelligence and technology.

“We are thrilled to partner with SATS and showcase the potential of LINQ in a live airport environment”, says Michael Khong, Head of Cyclect’s ART team. “LINQ is a good fit for Changi Airport and we believe it is a right step in the future of autonomous mobility. It also address the issues of manpower shortages in various industries.”

With a single push of a button, wheelchairs equipped with LINQ can be connected and moved to the required destination. This innovation is ideal for the aviation industry where it often requires multiple personnel to move individual wheelchairs around the airport. With LINQ, a single person can move three wheelchairs in an automatic convoy. LINQ was developed by Cyclect’s Automation and Robotics Tailor (ART) department in collaboration with CAG and Nanyang Polytechnic.


TechnIC@SATS is a new virtual innovation centre by SATS focusing on aviation related technologies. Guests of honour and visitors alike were impressed by how LINQ enhances workplace productivity. Examining both quality and functionality, TechnIC@SATS organizers praised LINQ’s innovation and eagerly await the results of trials at Changi Airport.

Coldplay Concert Singapore 2017

Cyclect is proud to be the electrical installers for Coldplay’s concert held in the Singapore Sports Hub. Rivalling that of a National Day Parade show, the sold out event was a kaleidoscopic arena of lights and music. Over two nights, 50,000 audience members wore LED wristbands that lit up in time to the music, adding to the incredible spectacle.

This is Coldplay’s fourth performance in Singapore and also their largest. Cyclect had completed projects for other concerts held in the Sports Hub, including Mariah Carey, Jacky Cheung and Jay Chou.
